We all have a lot going on in our lives and it can be hard to find time to volunteer. However, the benefits of volunteering can be very enriching. Volunteering offers much needed help to people in need, to worthwhile causes, and to your community, but the benefits can also be good for you, the volunteer. The right volunteering role can help you to find friends, learn new skills, and even advance your career.

Being a volunteer can also help with your mental and physical health. It has been proven to reduce stress, combat depression, improve mental stimulation and provide a sense of purpose. Volunteering doesn’t have to involve a long-term commitment or take a huge amount of time out of your busy day, working hours are whatever suits you as an individual e.g. a few hours a week, 4 days a month.
