Living Better Lives Partner Roadshow (South Tyneside Council)

Workshops will be delivered on the following dates:

GROWTH

DATE: MONDAY 10 JULY (0900 – 1200)

VENUE: The Customs House, Mill Dam, South Shields, NE33 1ES

We will discuss:

  • how we can work together more effectively to help people receiving Adult Social Care and Commissioning to Live Better Lives
  • what ‘good growth’ looks like for those working within Adult Social Care and Commissioning in South Tyneside
  • how we engage more effectively in the future to take forward growth and the strategy objectives

Partners to include: Planning, Housing, Transport, Industry, Local Businesses, Finance, Technology, etc.

PLACE

DATE: MONDAY 10 JULY (1400 – 1700)

VENUE: The Customs House, Mill Dam, South Shields, NE33 1ES

We will discuss:

  • how we work together more effectively to support people receiving Adult Social Commissioning to Live Better Lives
  • how we keep those working with Adult Social Care in Commissioning in South Tyneside to live in a safe, diverse and in a high quality environment
  • how we engage more effectively in the future to take forward place and the strategy objectives

Partners to include: Emergency Services, Safeguarding Partnership Board, Voluntary and Community Sector Organisations (VCSO), Housing, Transport, Environment, etc.

SKILLS

DATE: MONDAY 17 JULY (0900 – 1200)

VENUE: Jarrow Hall, Church Bank, Jarrow, NE32 3DY

We will discuss:

  • how we can collaborate more effectively to create a sustainable and skilled Adult Social Care and Commissioning workforce
  • how we work together to provide access to better skills and employment opportunities for people with complex needs
  • how we engage more effectively to take forward skills and the strategy objectives

Partners to include: Education Service, Further Education, Dept of Working Pensions, Business, Care Providers, etc.

HEALTH AND WELLBEING

DATE: MONDAY 17 JULY (1400 – 1700)

VENUE: Jarrow Hall, Church Bank, Jarrow, NE32 3DY

We will discuss:

  • how we can work together more effectively to address the key health and social care inequalities and challenges in South Tyneside
  • explore how we can intervene earlier to enable people to Live Better Lives
  • how we engage more effectively in the future to take forward Health, Wellbeing and the strategy objectives

Partners to include: Carers, Care Providers, VCSO, Public Health, Primary Care, Health Providers, Housing, etc.
