A user led project, supported by Project Officers and Volunteers, will offer a range of community-based activities in Gateshead and South Tyneside for people who may be at risk of exclusion due to disability, sight loss or being deaf or hard of hearing.
The project aims to
· Reduce isolation and loneliness whilst increasing skills, confidence and resilience
· Ensure access to accessible information and opportunities for inclusion
· Provide opportunities for building social networks
· Reduce barriers to engagement, learning and employment
· Encourage independence enabling people to fully integrate into society
· Offer accessible services, training and activities to promote overall well-being
