Renewing your driving licence if you’re 70 or over – GOV.UK

Scammers are now attempting to charge older people to renew their driving licence.

If you have access to a computer, renew your driving licence online with DVLA for free if you’re 70 or over – or will be 70 in the next 90 days.

Renew your driving licence if you’re 70 or over – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

You can also download the necessary forms and accompanying information at Download and order DVLA forms – GOV.UK (www.gov.uk)

Application by post is also possible, using the D46P application form. Use the D1 application for a driving licence form if you haven’t got the D46P form.

You can also pick one up at most post offices. (Your driving licence should arrive in 3 weeks but it may take longer if your medical or personal details need to be checked)
