The Secret Life of a Hospital – Clinical Research in Newcastle During COVID-19 – 27th May 2021

International Clinical Trials Day is held in May.  The day celebrates the anniversary of the first clinical trials by James Lind in 1747 in the causes of scurvy on board the HMS Salisbury.  Newcastle is the home to  fantastic range of clinical research which is being delivered in our local Hospital and University facilities.

To mark this day an online event is taking place to uncover some of the fantastic research happening at the NIHR Newcastle Clinical Research Facility.

Researchers from the facilities will talk to us about the important clinical research taking place in Newcastle during the COVID-19 Pandemic both in the hospital and University facilities.
