On behalf of the North East Forum on Ageing could I express our sadness on hearing of the death of His Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
Her Majesty has lost a beloved and devoted Husband who was at her side for more than 70 years. The Royal Family has lost a dominant figure and British Public life has lost an influential presence.
We join with people all round the world in mourning this loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and all members of the Royal Family today.
Rest in Peace, Your Royal Highness Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.
